01 Latest progress of epidemic situation
In December 2019, a series of unexplained viral pneumonia cases occurred in Wuhan. The incident was widely concerned by all walks of life. The pathogen was initially identified as a New Corona virus and was named “2019 New Corona virus (2019-nCoV)” by WHO.
WHO said in a statement on 16th that it had received a report on a case of New Corona virus confirmed by Japan. This is the second case after Thailand diagnosed a case of New Corona virus, which was found outside China.
The Wuhan Municipal Health Committee issued a circular on 19 November, saying that as calculated until 24 o’clock on 17th, Wuhan has reported 62 cases of pneumonia caused by New Corona virus, and 19 cases have been cured and discharged, 8 cases have been treated for severe cases, 2 cases have died, and the rest of the patients are in stable condition. The patients are receiving isolation treatment at the designated hospitals in Wuhan.
