A delegation led by Wang Xudong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Heping District Committee and District Mayor of Tianjin, visited Hangzhou BigFeiXu Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

on July 20th to conduct research and investigation. The delegation focused on in-depth discussions regarding silicon-based semiconductor biomedical chips, molecular POCT equipment R&D, the industrialization of domestic substitution, industrial synergy, and capital cooperation.

Currently, Heping District of Tianjin is focusing on cultivating new productive forces in life and health, leveraging its fiscal and state-owned capital platforms to develop the high-end medical device sector. The domestic molecular detection industry is entering a window of opportunity for domestic substitution. BigFeiXu focuses on the R&D and mass production of advanced molecular detection products and silicon-based semiconductor biochips, holding a complete patent matrix both domestically and internationally, ranking among the top tier of domestic molecular detection companies and serving as a benchmark enterprise for domestic substitution.

During the research visit, District Mayor Wang Xudong and his delegation toured the company's exhibition hall, chip laboratory, and production line. The company team introduced GeNext as the world's smallest end-to-end gene sequencing instrument, offering a 45-minute rapid test (15 minutes for the silicon-based version), at only 1/10th the cost of similar foreign instruments. It supports real-time Bluetooth/Wi-Fi communication and has a built-in power supply. It has received attention from *Nature* and has been selected for China's manned space program. The company has independently developed core MEMS ultrasonic/thermopile/optical detection chips, and developed high-sensitivity wide-area blood glucose CGM chips, brain-computer interface chips, and passive low-power chips. Many of its indicators are on par with and surpass those of international giants, filling the gap in China's high-end biochip market. It has already secured letters of intent from leading domestic companies for over 20 million biochips.

District Mayor Wang Xudong fully affirmed the achievements of Bigfei Sequence chip's independent R&D and the domestic substitution of high-end equipment. He stated that silicon-based biochips and molecular POCT are key areas for the integration of biotechnology and precision manufacturing, aligning with Heping District's industrial upgrading direction. Heping District will coordinate fiscal, state-owned asset, and investment resources to fully empower project implementation, industrial funds, and the expansion of channels in the northern market, promoting resource sharing and mutual benefit between the two regions' biopharmaceutical industries.
