Product Overview
This kit is based on an optimized buffer system combined with high-performance nano magnetic beads. Genomic DNA specifically binds to functional groups on the bead surface and is separated under an external magnetic field. Specifically designed for environmental water samples, the kit efficiently extracts bacterial DNA collected on filter membranes, including Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria (up to 2 × 10⁹ bacterial cells per single filter membrane). Experimental Results
A 600 mL river water sample was filtered through a membrane, and DNA was extracted using the Bigfish magnetic bead-based environmental water genomic DNA extraction and purification kit together with the compatible instrument. The extracted DNA was subsequently analyzed by agarose gel electrophoresis.
